- Install Feed the Beast on an Ubuntu server!
On local Ubuntu machine
- Download FTB for linux: http://ftb.cursecdn.com/FTB2/launcher/FTB_Launcher.jar
- Make sure java is installed
- Once GUI launches, select desired modpack and click the button that says 'Download Server'
- Fetch the upstart script -- make sure to format with = in vim
Feed The Beast is a launcher that has many different modpacks that you can use for. Go to the download client section on feed-the-beast.com and choose to. You need to download the Feed The Beast client online and when the client is installed you will be able to install any modoack wich are on the FTB client wich. Step 1: Download the Client. Go to the 'download client' section on feed-the-beast.com and choose to dowload the.exe or the.jar file. It makes no difference which one you use. When it has finished downloading, you can move the.exe anywhere you wish, your desktop, My Documents, Downloads.

- Edit this file and change:
- MCPATH to /home/minecraft/ftb
- BACKUPPATH to /home/minecraft/minecraft.backup
- SERVICE to ftb_server.jar
- Replace INVOCATION with last line from ServerStart.sh
- Change FTBServer-1.7.10-1448.jar to ftb_server.jar in that line
mv FTBServer-1.7.10-1448.jar ftb_server.jar
- Wrap it up, compress it, send it to the remote server
